Upon HRH The Princess Royal’s arrival, she was greeted by the chair of ASF-B, Dr Iftekhar Zaman. The executive director, Mrs Monira Rahman, introduced a multi-media presentation on the work of the organisation. She then toured the rehabilitation and nursing centre and met survivors and staff. She also spoke with Dr. Ron Hiles, a plastic surgeon and his team as they prepared for an operation on a survivor. Dr Hiles is a trustee of ASTI and on a two-month ASTI assignment to ASF.
