ASTI leads UN project on burn violence
ASTI has been awarded a $461,000 grant by the United Nations Trust Fund to End Violence Against Women (UNIFEM) to carry out a large-scale research project into acid and burn violence in Cambodia, Nepal and Uganda.

Acid Attacks to be Criminalised in Cambodia
Cambodian authorities are looking to pass a law imminently to make acid attacks a crime. This independent law will mean this crime will have specific sentencing rather than go under the guise of attempted murder. To have a separate law for acid violence sends out a clear message to perpetrators and their potential victims that justice will be done.
