Fundraising Events

Take part in an event and raise money for Acid Survivors Trust International! You can choose from one of our six challenge events or create your own fundraising event.

Our six challenge events give you the opportunity to take in spectacular scenery, increase your fitness levels and meet new people, whilst fundraising and contributing to the lives of acid survivors.

Jurassic Coast Weekend

The Jurassic Coast is England’s first Natural World Heritage Site and the most geologically diverse coastline in the world. Dinosaur remains have been found here and there is a more recent history of mining, shipwrecks and smuggling. We will walk for a total of 23 miles throughout the weekend and camp at a lovely campsite a short distance from our route.

Hadrian’s Wall Weekend

This weekend will begin at Lanercost Priory and we will trek for 25 miles alongside the only remaining sections of the wall, admiring ancient monuments, beautiful scenery and the skill of the Roman engineers who built this famous landmark, now a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Trek the Himalayas

This 11 day trek through the Himalayas combines spectacular scenery and fascinating culture. We will begin in the city of Kathmandu, before flying to the remote Sardi Khola valley. The trek passes through thick rhododendron forest and mountainside villages. We continue up out of the tree line over 3,000m and will witness high peaks, glaciers and the famous ‘fish-tail’ mountain of Machupucchare. This will be a tough challenge, but one where our efforts reward you with some of the most magnificent mountain panoramas in the world!

Ho Chi Minh To Angkor Wat Cycle

This 12 day cycle challenge takes us from Vietnamese Saigon, now Ho Chi Minh City, through the rice-paddies and waterways of the beautiful Mekong Delta into Cambodia. We will cycle through rural landscapes dotted with ruins of ancient civilisations and small towns with spectacular Buddhist temples. Fascinating insights into the region’s cultures, ancient and modern, are a real highlight of this challenge. The cycle ends at one of the most impressive sites in Southeast Asia – Angkor Wat.

Trek to Angkor Wat

Alternatively, trek to Angkor Wat. We start in Siem Reap, ideally situated to explore the ancient capital of the mighty Khmer Empire. Our trek takes us off the beaten track, through paddy-fields, dense forest and villages little-changed for centuries to the Sacred Phnom Kulen – the highest point for miles at 487m.

London to Paris Cycle

Cycling from London to Paris is one of the great cycle experiences in Europe. Passing through picturesque Kent countryside, we cross the Channel and continue through the small villages and medieval market towns of Northern France. With long days in the saddle and some strenuous hill-climbs, the sight of the Eiffel Tower, our finishing point, will evoke a real sense of achievement!

If you would like to create your own fundraising event, we are more than happy to support you. In the past, fundraisers like you have completed sponsored bike rides, canoeing challenges, swam the English Channel, set up film screenings, organised concerts and arranged exhibitions in their local communities.
