About us

Volunteers

Volunteers are an integral part of our work at ASTI, both in the office and internationally on our capacity building projects.

Specialist Teams – Medical trainings that ASTI provides to medical staff in the host countries are volunteered by UK-based plastic surgeons, occupational burns therapists, physical therapists and nurses. ASTI continues to add value to local partner organisations through the annual monetary contribution of these volunteers in donated time and services.

Runners and CyclistsASTI enrolls in several fundraising events per year, including the London Charity 10K and Annual Bike Ride. If you would like to run or cycle for ASTI, give us a call! Here’s how we did in 2010.

InternshipsASTI’s Graduate Internship Scheme offers three-month internships designed to give recent graduates and those interested in international aid and development the opportunity to gain valuable work experience. Interns will assist with fundraising efforts, communications and publications work, and general office administration. As we are a small office, we can only take on one intern at a time, however we keep applications on file for six months in case an opening becomes available. Internships are unpaid, however basic travel costs will be reimbursed. To apply please send a personal statement of not more than one A4 sheet and your CV to .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address), with ‘Internship’ in the subject line.
